“She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come. She speaks with wisdom, and faithful instruction is on her tongue…Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the LORD is to be praised.”–Proverbs 31:25-26, 30
Women. We are fearfully and wonderfully made in His image. We are ingeniously designed with a special purpose. And although not limited to, we are nurturers, organizers, keepers of culture, and even architects of society through our families. God has made us equal with men, but gifted us uniquely for His eternal plan. Learning to balance Biblical womanhood in a modern world can feel like a daunting task. Because of this, GCC Women’s Ministry wants to provide multi-generational opportunities and outlets for women to fellowship, worship, study, pray, and do life together with Jesus as their focus. Here are some ways we can encourage women to get involved at GCC:
- Women’s Bible Studies (see below)
- Love in Action (see below)
- Events + Gatherings
- Volunteering + Investing in younger generations
[NOTE]: We are always hosting and promoting various women’s events and gatherings. Keep an eye open for announcements or take a peek at our online GCC calendar of events.
GCC Women’s Ministry desires to not only connect women with one another, but to also make sure we have a firm foundation in His Word. We offer various studies throughout the year. It is our hope that you are able to find one that fits your spiritual needs and schedule. Classes are held Tuesday mornings and Wednesday evenings. Childcare (newborn to Pre-K) is available for anyone attending a Tuesday morning study. Please be sure to RSVP for childcare within your online registration. Seeing Jesus in the Old Testament, The Word of the Lord, video taught by Nancy Gutherie
Led by Terry Ruiz & Diane Wilson
Prophets in the Old Testament were men who spoke for God. Over 100 times in the historical and prophetical books of the Old Testament we read that, “the word of the Lord came” to a prophet. This ten-session study dives into the challenging prophetical books of Isaiah through Malachi with the aim of understanding not only what God had to say to his people through these prophets in their own day, but also what he has to say to his people today. Readers discover that we struggle with the same sins, we’re subject to the same judgment, and we await the same Savior.
In this study of the writings of the Old Testament prophets, we discover that the message God gave to his prophets for the people of their day has plenty to say to the people of our day. Through story, oracle, poetry, and visions, the prophets point out the sins of the people and the judgment that was coming, but more importantly they promised a greater prophet who would come to deal with their sin problem by taking their judgment on himself.
Precept Upon Precept Inductive Studies . . .Romans Part 4 – Life as a Living Sacrifice – Romans 12-16

This is what we shall see as we begin our study of Romans 12–16, life as a living sacrifice. The righteous shall live by faith! Do you live out your faith? What practical things can you do to show that you have been justified? Romans 12–16 are very practical chapters! Seeing Jesus in the Old Testament The Promised One, video taught by Nancy Gutherie
Led by Kristina Friberg, Linda Robinson, Jeannine Gaiek
Provides a fresh look at the book of Genesis, leading us into discovering how its stories, symbols, people, and promises point to Christ. Over ten weeks of study, we will see Christ as the agent of creation, the offspring who will crush the head of the serpent, the ark of salvation, the source of the righteousness credited to Abraham, the substitutionary sacrifice provided by God, the Savior to whom the whole world must come for life, and much more.
Each weekly lesson includes questions for personal study, a contemporary teaching chapter that emphasizes how the passage fits into the bigger story of redemptive history, a brief section on how the passage uniquely points to what is yet to come at the consummation of Christ’s kingdom. Group discussion each week
