Helping to encourage and provide resources for the GCC community in need of rejuvenating, jump-starting, and reinventing careers. The primary goal of this ministry is to bring the body together with employment opportunities through contacts & referrals. Our hope is to create an environment that enables people to find work and employers to find capable, reliable employees…all for the glory of God!
1st, 3rd, & 5th Mondays, Gathering 7-9pm, B101
This ministry began in 2010 making hats for the homeless, teaching others to crochet, and encouraging others to join. Since then it has expanded to also help others in need. Our ongoing and dearly loved ministry is to the Tamassee DAR School in Tamassee, South Carolina. It is a home for at-risk children, from age 5 until high school graduate; it helps keep kids out of the foster care system. We make them hats, scarves and afghans and go visit them once a year, in the fall.
Some of our other projects:
- Made and distributed chemo caps for the hospitals and cancer centers in the Duluth and Lawrenceville area
- Made hats for the Amanda Riley Foundation (children with cancer)
- Partnered with Heartstrings, a similar group out of Grace Fellowship Church Snellville, making booties for the Pregnancy Resource Center, and items for Children’s Healthcare Atlanta, and they have supported our ministries as well.
Meets every 2nd and 4th Saturday, 10 a.m. until noon. Crochet, knit and loom items to donate.
Are you a photography fan? Connect with others in your church family that share your passion. Check the calendar for our next meeting date and theme for your photos!
Monday Nights, women meet off campus to pray for each other, our church family, and our church ministries. If you would like to be a part of going before the Lord together in prayer, contact us below. To be added to our email prayer warriors contact Elbie Ancona. Sunday services will provide you with another opportunity for prayer support. Fill out and turn in a GCC Communication Card/Prayer Request Card. You can select whether you would like that to remain confidential with the pastor or the elders, or it will be included in an email update to the church body.
