Vision: E-Groups will be a place of growing an going as a Christ-centered community. These groups will create healthy spaces for discipleship, developing leaders, and reaching the world for Jesus.
E-Groups are biblical, relational environments that further our mission to Make Disciples who EXALT the Lord, ENCOURAGE His people, and ENGAGE His world.
We want every family connected in Christ-centered community. There are three types of E-Groups.
Encourage Groups may look like a small group, Bible Study, or Sunday School class. These groups seek to give members courage to live, love, and lead by gathering together to encourage one another through God’s Word and fellowship. Most Encourage Groups are 10 – 20 people in size and are scheduled to meet weekly, with other meetings from time to time.
Engage Groups may look like mission or service teams. These groups may be long term or temporary in uniting for the purpose of engaging the world for Jesus as people sent to serve and share God’s loving truth. These groups may serve at GCC, in the community, or around the world. Engage Groups meet according to the needs they serve.
D-Groups are an overflow of the relational environments of E-Groups. D-Groups are for the purpose of mentoring in the faith and for multiplying disciples and leaders. These groups consist of 2 – 5 individuals (preferably of the same gender) meeting as they choose to invest in one another.
The desired outcome of our groups is to Multiply Mature Ministers. Serving in ministry is a responsibility of all believers. We want to equip and spur one another on in faith, unity, and service for God’s Kingdom.
As you prayerfully consider joining one or more small groups, please feel free to email with any questions or to find out what is available for each member of your family.
And they devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers. And awe came upon every soul, and many wonders and signs were being done through the apostles. And all who believed were together and had all things in common. And they were selling their possessions and belongings and distributing the proceeds to all, as any had need. And day by day, attending the temple together and breaking bread in their homes, they received their food with glad and generous hearts, praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to their number day by day those who were being saved. – Acts 2:42-47 ESV
