Women’s Ministry
GCC women’s ministry exists to promote the spiritual and emotional health of the women of Gwinnett Community Church.
Our desire is to provide a welcoming environment for women to fellowship, worship, study, pray and do life together with Jesus as the focus.
Exalt, Encourage, Engage
God’s word says to encourage one another in love and good deeds, not abandoning our own meeting together, as is the habit of some people, but encouraging one another; and all the more as you see the day drawing near.
- Hebrews 10:25
Multi-generational opportunities and outlets for women include:
Bible Studies
Biblical & practical application of God’s Word. These studies are designed to engage women who are new to the Word as well as those who desire in-depth study.

When You Pray - a 7 week Study on Prayer from Kelly Minter, Jackie Hill Perry, Jen Wilkin, Jennifer Rothschild, Jada Edwards, and Kristi McLelland, facilitated by Paula Gilman
Do you have trouble thinking of words to say to God when you pray? Are you afraid some emotions are too intense to express to God? Do you reach the end of a day only to realize you haven’t prayed at all? You’re not alone. Prayer is the way we relate to God, but sometimes it’s a struggle.
Join us if you want to:
- Explore the different types of prayer modeled in Scripture.
- Understand how prayer unites believers to God and to one another.
- Learn how to overcome struggles that keep you from talking to God.
In this 7-session study, there will be 6 biblical prayers examined, each taught by a different teacher and every week will be a stand-alone study -- great for when you might not be able to commit to all 7 weeks -- come when you can!
You’ll learn that God welcomes your praise and lament, your thanksgiving and intercession. You’ll see examples of how to pray when you’re alone and when you’re gathered with others. Above all, you’ll notice there’s no one right way to pray.

Isaiah Part 1 - Precept
- Meeting in D101 & Zoom
- Tuesdays 9:45-11:45am, Jan 16 - Apr 23
- Childcare available by registration
Isaiah is the crown jewel of Old Testament prophets, a book that strikes awe in the heart of its reader, especially when its poetry is read in the Hebrew. Prophecies from Isaiah are mentioned in twenty-two places in the New Testament. The words of Isaiah were often found on the lips of the Christ, the Messiah prophesied in Isaiah. If Jesus, God incarnate, honored this grand and glorious book so highly, then you and I ought to do the same.
In Isaiah Part 1, we’ll meet the Holy One of Israel, and learn how He deals with those who claim Him as God but don’t honor Him as God in the way that they live. And we’ll find the destiny of nations, the future of all mankind ... including ours.

Experiencing God

- Wednesdays 6:30-8:15pm, Jan 17 - Apr 10
- Childcare available by registration
Experiencing God, led by Kristina Friberg and Jeannine Gaiek
This is a 12 week study. Over the years, God has used the truths in Experiencing God to awaken believers to a radically God-centered way of life. As a result, millions have come to know God intimately, to recognize His voice, and to understand His will for their lives. This new edition is revised, updated, and ready to help you again--or for the very first time--experience your Creator.
God is inviting you into an intimate love relationship through which He reveals to you His will, His ways, and His work. When you recognize where God is working, you can join Him in what He is doing. Carefully listening to His voice will anchor you in His plan and set you free to live it with boldness and freedom. Then you will experience God doing through you what only He can do.

What Love Is, the Letters of 1, 2, 3 John

- Wednesdays 6:30-8:15pm, Jan 17 - Apr 24

What Love Is, the Letters of 1, 2, 3 John video taught by Kelly Minter, a no homework Bible study led by Lisa Layton
The Letters of 1, 2 & 3 John were written to encourage followers of Jesus to remain faithful to the truth. Believers are challenged to look at contrasting themes such as walking in the light instead of darkness, truth versus lies and deception, loving God more than loving the world, and the meaning of true fellowship and community rather than shallowness.
This study will be a no-homework format and not only reveals the heart of John but also the heart of Jesus.

LOVE in ACTION
“You should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.”
–1 Peter 4:10
Love in Action is an extension of Women’s Ministry and was lovingly birthed to fill the needs of our church family when in life-stage transitions and recovering from illness. It is essentially a meals/transportation ministry for those in need. Whether your family has just had a baby, is healing from medical treatment, or in need of transportation for things such as medical appointments, it is the desire of Love in Action’s volunteers to serve you and shower you with love.
