Women’s Ministry
GCC women’s ministry exists to promote the spiritual and emotional health of the women of Gwinnett Community Church.
Our desire is to provide a welcoming environment for women to fellowship, worship, study, pray and do life together with Jesus as the focus.

Exalt, Encourage, Engage
God’s word says to encourage one another in love and good deeds, not abandoning our own meeting together, as is the habit of some people, but encouraging one another; and all the more as you see the day drawing near.
- Hebrews 10:25
Multi-generational opportunities and outlets for women include:
Bible Studies
Biblical & practical application of God’s Word. These studies are designed to engage women who are new to the Word as well as those who desire in-depth study.

He Speaks to Me: Preparing to Hear from God by Priscilla Shirer led by Anne Pillsbury and Deborah McLendon
Priscilla draws life lessons from the account of God speaking to the boy Samuel in the beloved Bible story found in 1 Samuel 3.
Priscilla relates six characteristics found in Samuel that are applicable to women today as they tune their hearts to hear God's voice. These characteristics are: A Simple Relationship, A Set Apart Holiness, A Still Attentiveness, A Single-Minded Worship, A Sold Out Hunger, and A Servant's Spirit. By listening to God's voice and obeying Him, women will be drawn into a closer relationship to God that brings a deeper desire to serve Him faithfully. This is a 7-session study.

Isaiah - Striving Less, Trusting God More a 7-session study by Melissa Spoelstra led by Paula Gilman
Following God isn't about striving; it's about trusting. As you study the chapters Isaiah wrote--from his challenging words to the nation of Israel to his prophecies of the Messiah to come--learn to rest in God's promises and grow in trust. In this 7-session study, Isaiah's words will reveal that you can trust God more than your own human effort or the counterfeits the world suggests. You won't be striving harder, but instead trusting more deeply the Faithful One who is so worthy of our utter dependence. In Him you'll find the comfort and peace you need to sustain you.

Finding God Faithful - A Study on the Life of Joseph by Kelly Minter, led by Kristina Friberg and Jeannine Gaiek
In the midst of hardship, tragedy, and unanswered questions, it’s difficult to glimpse God at work. How do we hold onto our faith during these times? How do we trust God is working all things for our good and His glory?
Over 8 sessions, trace the path of Joseph’s life in the Book of Genesis to observe how God’s sovereignty reigns, even in our darkest moments. Learn to recognize when God is working during periods of waiting, trust God’s plan when life doesn’t make sense, and rest in the sufficiency of His presence in every circumstance. His provision is enough, His presence is constant, and His purpose is unstoppable.
- Place your hope in the God who is with you.
- Learn to trust God’s purposes when life doesn’t make sense.
- Recognize how God is working in your waiting.
- Rest in the sufficiency of God’s presence in every circumstance

LOVE in ACTION
“You should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.”
–1 Peter 4:10
Love in Action is an extension of Women’s Ministry and was lovingly birthed to fill the needs of our church family when in life-stage transitions and recovering from illness. It is essentially a meals/transportation ministry for those in need. Whether your family has just had a baby, is healing from medical treatment, or in need of transportation for things such as medical appointments, it is the desire of Love in Action’s volunteers to serve you and shower you with love.
