Women’s Ministry
GCC women’s ministry exists to promote the spiritual and emotional health of the women of Gwinnett Community Church.
Our desire is to provide a welcoming environment for women to fellowship, worship, study, pray and do life together with Jesus as the focus.
Exalt, Encourage, Engage
God’s word says to encourage one another in love and good deeds, not abandoning our own meeting together, as is the habit of some people, but encouraging one another; and all the more as you see the day drawing near.
- Hebrews 10:25
Multi-generational opportunities and outlets for women include:

In this 10-session, verse-by-verse study of the Book of Hebrews, Jen Wilkin explores how God "provided something better for us" in the person of Jesus Christ (Heb. 11:40). Through stories of Old Testament heroes and practices, the author of Hebrews demonstrates how the new covenant is superior to the old and how Jesus Christ is the fulfillment of every promise. Explore familiar verses in context of the entire Bible, learning how to place your hope and faith in Christ alone.

In the 6 week study Thrive, author and teacher Jen Cowart helps women develop the habits and attitudes necessary to thrive whatever their circumstances. Leading readers through the book of James, a letter written about enduring hardships, she lifts up six characteristics of mature Christians. From endurance and humility to controlling the words we speak, Jen helps participants find the divine and the practical in living faithfully.
Through this study, women will find inspiration and tools around six traits:
- Endurance -- Embracing obstacles as a means to maturity.
- Wisdom -- Using a heavenly perspective on earthly issues.
- Action -- Living a life where actions match faith.

How To Make Choices You Won't Regret, a no homework Bible study from Precept led by Lisa Layton
You may be wondering how you ended up where you are, whether your life would have been better if you had made different decisions along the way. Or maybe your current situation is great, but you’re facing some difficult choices. God wants to help you.
Every day you and I are faced with innumerable decisions, some of which have the potential to change the course of our lives forever. Certain avenues open to us are marked with hidden pitfalls or lead to harmful directions. And in some instances, the wrong choice can even bring death.
Where do you go for direction? What do you do when faced with temptation? How do you decide what choices to make? This study answers these questions by exploring the role of Scripture and the Holy Spirit in the process as well as examining the decision-making of people such as David, Josiah, Eve and Jesus. As a result, my friend, I pray you will be equipped to make choices that bring honor to God and peace to your heart. -- Kay Arthur
This study will be a no - homework format -- we will work through the material in class
